Some of the amenities are single rooms with satellite TV, fitness centre, large dining/rec area, phone/fax/internet service on site, ample parking, and home style meals. 32 executive rooms with private washrooms also are available.
June 2005, Shanco and partners opened up a new 250 man open camp at Tumbler Ridge, B.C. This camp, like our Cutbank Kelly Lake camp, comes fully equipped with all of the amenities, including 32 executive rooms.
Winter of 2005, a new 200 man electric base camp Shanco constructed for Tahera Diamond Corporation was shipped over ice roads to its final destination 600 km north of Yellowknife. On Mar 23, our field service tradesmen started the commissioning process and on May 2, this camp was open and served its first meal. This notable achievement for commissioning in a very remote area was accomplished in record time, in weather that at times reached minus 56.
Shanco currently is in final construction stages of construction of a 10 unit 2 storey platform camp scheduled for delivery to a major client at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. This complex will be transported for in field moves on a Columbia trailer.
